Submit an Abstract
Abstracts should be submitted as extended abstract format. They must include title; name and the address of authors; summary; introduction; materials and methods; results; discussion and reference. Please strictly adhere to the following instructions to compose your extended abstract. The word count of the extended abstract (Summary, Introduction, Materials & Methods and Discussion) must be not exceeding 500 words and composed in Times New Roman font size 12, justified in single space. The length of extended abstract manuscript should be not more than 3 pages (Margins: top & bottom 1”, left & right 1.25”). Please refer to sample of extended abstract.

Title
The title should be composed in all capital and bold
Authors
Author name should be appeared as surname/last name following initial/s of fist name.
The name of a presenting author should be marked with asterisks sign (*)
Please refer to sample of extended abstract for labelling of the address
Summary
Short summary of the abstract not exceeding 100 words in one paragraph
Introduction and Materials & Methods
Brief introduction and materials & methods in 200 words approximately
Results
Brief description of the results in 150 words
Maximum 3 figures (tables, graphs and etc) with labels are allowed
The figures must in black and white colours
Discussion
Short discussion and conclusion of the study within 50 words
Reference
References must be quoted as number in superscript form, exp. [1]
List each author’s surname followed by a space and a set of initials. If there are more than 6 authors, list the first 3 authors followed by et al.
Include the article title, journal name (abbreviated according to Index Medicus), year, volume number, and inclusive page numbers.
Confirmation
After submitting the abstract, a confirmation of your abstract submission with your abstract ID number will be sent to the e-mail address. Please keep this confirmation for future reference and for any correspondence with the secretariats.
Abstract review and paper acceptance
The acceptance of the papers for oral and poster presentations will be based on the evaluation of scientific subcommittee. The accepted extended abstract will be published in Malaysian Medical Journal as supplement issue. The evaluation will be based upon the scientific and technical merits, relevance with the themes of the conference, stating objectives and results, clarity, and compliance with the required formats.
